This is primarily a fast-response defensive organization. All member kingdoms/provinces are encouraged to attack Allied targets.

Same right? Nope... We are going to take on a more aggressive role this round.. Basically in order to hold the rights of our members... Diplomacy can only reach so far... That is something I have realized.. In the past, members have been gangbombed, only to reach a peace settlement the next day.. The member bashed on is therefore screwed... Here is what we plan to fix about our system.. and the laws we will abide by:

Any member attacked more an unreasonable amount of times for no particular offense, i.e. NOT sending out all of their troops and being too vulnerable, or doing that to someone then complaining that they are being bombed back, may report to their Commander and have partial retaliation action be done against their offenders.

About Commanders: The Allied Defense Forces will work under the supervision of the War Commanders.. More may be appointed depending on the size of the Forces, however, I look at 3 Commanders to start with. They will be in charge of coordinating such strikes using their divisions only.. as those purposes will be for retals. However, the commanders and their respective divisions must not take back more than 150% of the land taken from the member being struck. For instance, If Member Province, "Examp" is hit for 45 acres from Offender "Doofu", for 53 from Offender "Assh", and for 35 from offender "Wrapu", the division will limit the strikes to 67 from Doofu, 80 from Assh, and 52 from Wrapu.. or if more land is taken in one hit, that amount of land. Basically, I do not want this to turn into Barduvian Gangbanging.. If that method turns out to be too chaotic, then it WILL BE MODIFIED.

When joining the Allied Forces, you will added to a group depending on either your location in Utopia, or if you request one Commander to lead under. When we reach too large of a size, We will bring up that room for a new commander is open, and based on effectiveness and activity. and interest... a new commander will be chosen, and 3 members from each division will be assigned to that new legion, based on volunteering, of course! It is my hope that we will be able to keep up our effectiveness by these methods of the Allied Forces.

Next on the agenda is that we have strong relations with a number of small alliances. While the Allied Forces, and AUK are stil small, It is my hope that that is only temporary, and we will rise to the state that we were back during the First Era. A few such alliances have expressed interest in being unofficial "Legions" of the Allied Forces, sort of a loose alliance in working with us. it will be their discretion whether or not they work with us on individual cases.. Again, depending on the size, perhaps each Affiliate Alliance of the Allied Forces may be tied to a different Legion of our network.. That will still need to be decided depending on interest. However, the locations of those Affiliates will be proved to members, through either a link from our homepage, or through individual messages, should those other alliances wish to remain anonymous.

Once again, we will be maintaining an open door policy. Any player of Utopia is welcome of visiting our site and discussing alliance affairs. Criticism is welcome.... To an extent........ But please at least be civil. I hate to delete messages that are sent... even when they are too rude and insulting. Our Forums will be shortly, so feel free to post.

Membership:: Any provinces wishing to join need to contact the AUK Diplomatic Council, NOT the War Commanders. (The Diplomatic Council will be explained later on) Rather than simply post on the forums, send a direct message to a DIplomatic Councilor throught he system. In that way, it can be replied to more readily, and will have less chance of being overlooked. More than likely, any member wishing to join will be allowed in, however, we are planning to run more of a screening process than in the past..

Activity: One problem we have had in the past is activity. I believe that one fault inthe past was that people grew too bored of diplomatic means. It is my hope that by allowing mroe aggression, people will no longer grow tired of our methods, and remain around to discuss any attack problems they have had, and not neccessarily whine about getting help, but gain advice. That bring me to another point.. Help your fellow members with advice on gameplay.. Since the kingdoms are breaking up, this Alliance is one more way to stay in contact with former kingdommates. Another system I would like to take advantage of is ICQ. It is my hope that every member can end up using this sysytem. However, I realize that that won't happen, therefore, it is not a requirement, but a STRONG recommendation.

The Diplomatic Council: This will be made up of between 3 to 5 members. Included will be our three high lords from last round, Myself, CinC and Ariadon. We may add on a few positions for this, depending on our workload, so the size of the council will fluctuate from time to time. The Diplomatic Council, or, DC, will be, in effect, the core of the Alliance, while the name AUK will now be in theory and spirit only. DC will handle our members disputes with outside provinces, as well as any internal conflicts.. Internal Conflicts we expect will have no bloodshed once word hits us, as both members will be immediately messaged to stop.

Outside conflicts, however.... will be handle a bit differently. Attacks from the corresponding legion of the Allied Forces WILL be allowed UNTIL the damage caused against the member is equalled. (Following guidelines for retals in the Allied Forces). Negotiations will be carried out while those retaliations are being made however, varying from our old policies of no attacks until war is declared. Those attacks will ONLY be made officially from the corresponding legion, however. If diplomatic situations become hopeless, and war is declared, then all of the Allied Forces WILL BE CALLED UPON. The first priority of contacts will be to the regents and offending provinces. If the regent agrees to peace, but the province won't, then leave the matter to the appropriate legion to handle. If the whole kingdom wants to fight, then the alliance as a whole will intervene.

I am sure that there will be a few questions abotu our policies.. I have tried to present things clearly, however, that may not be the case for everyone. If you have questions, feel free to contact me or any other members of the diplomatic council. My location will be within the DC Members List, so call me up! I'm always willing to answer questions!
